It’s All About Us by Shelley Adina Posted on February 11, 2009 12:00 AM MST by Kasey Heinly
This is by far one of the best Christian Young Adult novels I’ve read. Lissa is funny and real. Her struggles, internal and external, were engaging and believable. The struggle to live a Christian life in the midst of those with other worldviews is never an easy balance to maintain. As a former public school student, I strongly identified with Lissa’s story. It’s All About Us is the first novel in a series by the same title. Teens who enjoy books by Sarah Dessen may also enjoy Adina’s writing. |

Lissa Mansfield begins her junior year at an elite boarding school, and she isn’t asking much, really. She just wants to be part of the “in” crowd. And she’ll do almost anything to get it. But when the top girl decides Lissa is going down, and her drool-worthy boyfriend begins pressuring Lissa for more than she’s willing to give, she finds she has to make some choices. How far can she compromise without losing what’s really important?
